Vertical cabinets are the most-commonly found filing systems in offices. They are tall and thin in design and are perfect for storing letter-sized documents, in files called suspension files. Lateral cabinets are configured differently. Lateral cabinets have wider and deeper drawers that can store more files and are good for storing legal and medical documents. Pedestal cabinets are a great design for fitting underneath a desk. They can be used for document storage too! Mobile pedestals are cabinets that are like pedestal cabinets but with one major difference: they come with wheels for moving around the office so you can move them under a desk or wheel them next to you as you are working on necessary files.
